Sometimes we need a nudge. Sometimes we need a tough push. But sometimes we just need to be reminded of who we are and why we are here.
When life seems directionless, it’s often the result of a misunderstanding of identity and purpose. Who am I supposed to be? Who tells me who I am? Are you asking those questions of yourself and not getting the answers you need or that will quell that deep desire within to matter. Is it impacting your work life, home life, and spiritual life? It seems we spend so much time trying to impress people as a way to gain their acceptance and approval that we lose track of our identity in the process. There is almost a desperation in the air of wanting to be known. Just not the real us. We want to be approved of by how much we have, how good we look, or what it is we do. So we strive and we struggle. We wear ourselves out. It’s as if we are starting without an identity and must create one as we go, hoping and praying that others will like who we become.
But there is hope! Because God created us with purpose, rediscovery of that purpose is available. Involving a coach in the process of rediscovery can be beneficial. Once an even basic understanding of identity and purpose is realized, your foundation stabilizes, providing just what is needed to build upon. Imagine being you, the real you, an incredibly unique creation, stamped with His signature, living and loving life fully. And doing great work as a result.
I teach you first how to listen to your Creator, how to recognize it’s Him speaking, and how to take what He’s said and put it into your day and into your life. It seems simple because it is. Life was never meant to be lived alone either. The process of coaching is one of relationship, because we were created to be in relationship. First is reconnecting with the Father who created you. Then, walking with a trusted friend who points to and affirms the truth about who you are. The winds of heaven gather in your sails and move you into your calling.
